If you are an amateur author or writer based in Scotland - young or old - and wish to have one or more of your short children's stories added to our lists, then please send a printed copy of your story to SirPause®. It must contain no more than five thousand words.

We can only accept short stories sent to us by post and are sorry that we cannot return these to you.

Your short children's story will be reviewed by our reviewers, and if it is deemed suitable for publication, it will be added to our website list. You will be notified by e-mail if your story is selected for publication.

We are sorry but no financial reward will be given for the use of these stories as they are provided free of charge for children's enjoyment.

When sending stories to SirPause® please include your full name, address, age, telephone number and e-mail address. You must enclose a signed letter, addressed to SirPause® Publishing stating that you are the sole copyright holder of the story and that the story is entirely your own work, and the original manuscript was written by you. You must also agree to SirPause® being your publisher and give SirPause® sole rights to publish your short story or stories.

SirPause® offers a selection of short stories for children of all ages, which are avaliable free of charge. Click Here to see the selection.

The short stories avaliable are shown on our list, each one having been reviewed and given a SirPause® story rating using our unique rating system, and once you have chosen which one you wish to read simply click on the link and it will appear on screen.

These stories, which can be fiction or non-fiction, are useful as bedtime reading or for that wet, miserable afternoon when time seems to standstill.

They are avaliable as a copy of the original manuscript.

As well as our own selection of SirPause® Short Stories, we are always looking for other short stories from amateur writers based in Scotland - young or old - who simply enjoy writing as a hobby.

The stories all appear using a larger font size and spacing making them easier to read, even for young children, and are also limited to a maximum number of words - normally fewer than five thousand.
